Description
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is presented in charming pixel art, with lengthy dialogue, English subtitles, and Japanese voice acting. The overall visual quality and the background soundtrack are both worth noting. Players build a squad of up to 8 characters, each differing in rarity and role within the team. Daily quests provide materials and experience, while the strongest fighters are obtained through the gacha system. Battles are turn-based and can be run on auto or sped up. The one oddity is that your party is positioned on the right side of the screen. Story-wise, Champions of the Continent serves as a prequel, so series fans will discover plenty about familiar heroes and the surrounding world.
