Description
Zold:out is a tactical role-playing game with deck-building mechanics and turn-based combat. On a battlefield without a grid, you'll need to use a variety of weapons within a single round to defeat tough enemies. Recruit more clerks, sharpen your blacksmithing skills, and rely on your strategy and resourcefulness to save the planet!
ACTION SYSTEM
Action points and playing cards sit at the core of the gameplay. Each character starts with 12 action points, which can be spent on different moves during combat. How many action points remain will determine how long the following rounds last. You can spend all of them at once to deal heavy damage, or hold some back for added mobility and strategic flexibility. The choice is yours as you decide how your characters fight.
WEAPON DECK
Players can choose from a large selection of weapon cards, each with its own special ability, and combine them into custom decks. Every card can be paired with a different character, opening up a wide range of tactical options and playstyles. As you progress through the levels, you'll unlock new weapon cards and keep refining your deck to find the best mix of cards and characters for victory. Building your deck during play adds another layer of depth and personalization, letting you truly shape the game your way.
BATTLEFIELD
The grid-free battlefield breaks away from the usual grid-based gameplay, giving players room to craft more effective plans and tactics. You can move freely across the battlefield, allowing precise and methodical strategies to outmaneuver your opponents and secure victory.
BOSS BATTLES
The Zold:out development team has put great care into designing a wide variety of unique bosses and monsters. To come out on top of each boss fight, you'll need to think strategically, adjust your tactics and team to the specifics of the encounter, and react quickly. Brute force alone won't defeat such formidable foes. Instead, you'll need to devise original approaches to the obstacles they throw at you and come up with clever solutions to the threats they pose. Think creatively, use your abilities and cunning, and you can prevail even against the toughest opponents.
HOW TO GET STARTED IN ZOLD:OUT!
Wands are weapon types that excel at long-range and ranged attacks. A short tutorial at the start walks you through the basics, so follow the prompts and tap as you play. After roughly 3 stages, the tutorial battle and training are complete, and from then on you can play freely. Let's move on to the main story.
You can also repair broken weapons, which occasionally drop after mass production, at a low cost. Your characters' starting weapons are weak, so equip them with items crafted through blacksmithing. Many weapons made at blacksmithing level 1 are stronger, cheaper, and easier to use than the initial gear. Raise your blacksmithing level and start mass-producing.
Treasure chests may appear alongside enemies during battle. Attack a chest to destroy it and claim its contents. Make sure to attack and collect before wiping out the enemy or between waves.
