You might find yourself alone in the wilderness. You'll need to make a fire so you don't freeze, and set snares for rabbits: their meat will keep you fed, and their hides can be sewn into clothing. Your loyal companion at the start is a simple sharp stone. Look for a good spot to settle and stockpile food. Soon you can welcome other players into the world as your children. You'll need to care for them until they grow up and start helping you.

You might be born into a thriving city filled with farmers, cooks, blacksmiths, shepherds, and hunters. Clothing and tools made by other players will be waiting for you, perhaps crafted by your grandparents or more distant relatives. You may find friends and decide to found your own settlement, inherit your uncle's farm, or go hunting bears and wolves. The possibilities are endless, but remember: if you haven't left the world a little better by the end of your life, you have lost.

Each new life brings you into contact with new players. Some will be more skilled than you, and some won't be around at all. Some will teach you new things, and others will learn from you. Someone may even try to destroy the civilization you're building, and you'll have to deal with them. For a brief time, until the next generation takes over, the fate of the world rests only with you and the people playing alongside you.
