Description
Yokai Art: Night Parade of One Hundred Demons is an adult strategy game from Secret Labo, featuring a cartoon-style visual design, a non-linear storyline, and gameplay inspired by the famous Plants vs. Zombies series. Except here, the battlefield is filled with scantily dressed girls clashing with eerie shadow creatures pouring out of unexplored dungeons. Strange? Absolutely! But it all started when the hero accidentally broke an ancient seal, throwing the balance of earthly forces into chaos…
Atmosphere, Gameplay, and Difficulty
Much like PvZ, the action in Yokai Art plays out in real time. The developers want you to come up with tactics on the spot, keep adjusting to enemy moves, and try different approaches to make your mark on this unfamiliar world. Recent player reviews have been highly positive when it comes to this approach.
Beyond its rich and reasonably demanding gameplay, the game also delivers a story you follow from a first-person perspective. Your protagonist has to figure out what's going on and restore the balance of power in the heart of a Japanese city. The weight of responsibility is real, since every choice can change the outcome, much like in a classic Mario platformer. So don't hang back. Jump into the fight!
