Description
Download WifiFixer, an app that fixes Wi-Fi signal issues in environments with multiple access points sharing a single service set identifier. WifiFixer periodically checks whether your current access point is weak. If it is, the app searches for another one offering the same service (that is, with the same service set identifier). When a stronger access point is found, it smoothly connects your phone to it. Surprisingly, your phone won't lose its network connection and then reconnect within seconds, which is something apps would otherwise detect as a network problem.
Keep in mind that this app won't help on every device. On some devices it may actually make things worse and extend the time spent disconnected. If that happens, please uninstall the app.
The free version works in full, but it will occasionally remind you to purchase a license to keep using it. No ads!
If you're wondering why the app needs location access permission: Android doesn't allow apps to scan for Wi-Fi networks unless they have access to your location, since Google apparently assumes that everyone would misuse the ability to see access points. We don't track your location and don't send anything anywhere.
