Gameplay
Your journey kicks off with server selection, offering options across Asia, the Americas, and Europe; picking the server with the lowest latency is essential for smooth performance. Next, you will head to the character creation screen, where options are fairly basic: pick your hairstyle, select a color, enter your hero's name, and prepare for action.
A lengthy tutorial then begins, stretching across nearly an hour. You must clear the introductory stage and return to the main camp before the tutorial finally wraps up, granting you complete freedom to explore.
Once the real action starts, you are treated to dungeon-crawling roguelike mechanics reminiscent of Diablo within confined underground mazes. Instead of a seamless open world, the game features labyrinthine rooms packed with nasty creatures. You can either wipe out every fiend in sight or rush ahead to locate the staircase leading down to the next floor.
Game Features
The fighting mechanics feel fluid and satisfying: link standard strikes into devastating combos or trigger powerful special skills from a massive roster. Foes retaliate with their own attack patterns, but sharp reflexes let you dodge incoming hits easily, especially with distinct floor markers warning you about area-of-effect spells.
Your available moves directly reflect your equipped arsenal. Equip a blade for slashing strikes, wield an axe to unleash spinning area attacks, or grab a bow to rain arrows from a distance. Furthermore, individual weapons within the same category can provide distinct combat abilities, giving you plenty of weapon variety to discover.
Gear customization is equally broad, featuring helmets, body armor, greaves, gauntlets, amulets, and off-hand shields that elevate your hero's attributes. Instead of being locked into a fixed class, you simply allocate stat points to fit your desired playstyle: pump intellect for a spellcaster, raise agility and strength for an archer, or focus on defense and stamina for a resilient tank. Boosting core attributes is also necessary to meet equip requirements, ensuring you have the endurance needed to carry heavier protective gear.
