Collecting as many points as possible is the goal, since different souvenir combinations create different effects.

Beyond the scenery, each one has its own effects, such as offering items to buy or awarding the character a set number of points. Visiting the hot spring can earn you up to three points if you are lucky. Some buildings, like the Inns, require you to stop and rest alongside other players.

When you reach a specific place, you decide whether to buy something, such as a meal or a souvenir. The choice is entirely yours, and if you opt for the active experience, you can gain even more experience points. You can also eat the same dish twice during the journey and receive 6 points right after.
