Description
Developed by Discreen Vision Games, The Secret of the House delivers an experimental narrative adventure packed with branching plotlines, vibrant animated aesthetics, and a calm yet captivating pace. Visually, the creator's fictional realm draws heavy inspiration from classic fairy-tale animations like Anastasia, Cinderella, and Snow White. Yet despite this nostalgic fairy-tale backdrop, players are in for a provocative surprise: adult-themed scenes emerge at nearly every turn, shifting the narrative direction in unexpected ways.
Atmosphere, Events, and Updates
While grounded in visual novel fundamentals, The Secret of the House refuses to be just another generic title in the genre. Instead, players enjoy meaningful agency through impactful choices that shape the plot, alongside the freedom to open a world map whenever they wish to choose their next move. It also borrows rewarding point-and-click mechanics—letting you tour unique areas, pick up essential items, and steadily advance your protagonist.
The core gameplay remains accessible throughout your journey, gradually gaining depth as the narrative unfolds. For starters, you will access both static and interactive adult encounters by choosing optimal dialogue responses and securing key inventory items. On top of that, you will gain access to fresh, secret-laden environments that demand careful investigation and reward thorough exploration.
