Description
Embark on an offbeat road trip adventure behind the wheel in The Long Drive: Road Trip Game, an unconventional driving simulation set across vast, scorching desert sands.
Game Review
Getting into the game is straightforward and accessible. Rather than relying on a heavy narrative—which isn't really necessary here—the experience centers on navigating the arid wasteland and checking out various desolate buildings scattered along your route.
The storyline is delightfully minimalist: your cross-country journey begins after opening an invitation letter from your mother asking you over to spend some quality time together. Without hesitation, your protagonist packs up and hits the open road.
Getting road-ready is crucial before you start driving. Strip away peeling paint, tune up the bodywork, and give your ride a complete visual refresh so you can tackle the desert tracks with confidence. Along the journey, refuel at roadside gas pumps and scavenge through deserted outposts. You'll also encounter bizarre, zombie-like desert hares that require a bit of target practice—a quirky twist that players genuinely enjoy.
