The piece count changes depending on the difficulty of each mode: the harder the mode, the more your reasoning gets a workout. Work your way through the basic levels

The Basic game mode presents stages in gradually increasing difficulty. What makes the challenge grow in Tangram Heaven is not only the shapes of the pieces but also how many of them there are. This mode features five difficulty tiers:

• Beginner: Levels typically use 4 to 5 pieces.
• Easy: A step up from Beginner, with 6 to 7 pieces.
• Medium: Features 8 to 9 pieces.
• Hard: 10 to 11 pieces.

Bigger challenges with Extra mode

I'd suggest trying this mode only after you've cleared the Basic levels, since every Extra stage is demanding and the piece counts keep climbing. Unlocking them isn't easy either. Here's a quick overview of the Extra mode stages:

• Shuffled A: Contains 250 levels, each with 6 to 10 pieces.
• Shuffled B: Levels include 7 to 11 pieces. You'll need at least 100 coins to unlock it.
• Shuffled C: No coins required, but you'll need 200 stars, which you earn by completing levels. Each stage usually has 8 to 12 pieces.
• Shuffled D: Similar to Shuffled C, but it requires 300 stars to unlock and features 9 to 13 pieces per level.
• Shuffled E: The final stage requires 400 stars to unlock. Its levels are widely considered the hardest in Tangram Heaven, with 10 to 14 pieces each.

What should you do when you're stuck on a level in Tangram Heaven?

Plenty of players run into this, especially when they realize that coins only unlock a single level. The coins you earn from completing stages can help you get past a tough spot. Every level has three small buttons in the bottom corner of the puzzle area: a restore button, a watch-ad button, and a hint button.

The hint button costs a small amount of coins and reveals the position of one puzzle piece, giving you a clear starting point for solving the stage. You can use it multiple times in the same level as long as you have enough coins. If you run short, the ad button next to it instantly grants you 100 coins.

A huge number of levels

As noted earlier, unlocking Shuffled E requires at least 400 stars, which means Tangram Heaven contains well over 400 levels, since each completed stage awards only one star. In reality, the total is far larger than you might expect. You probably won't know the exact count until you've unlocked everything.
