Description
Strelok Pro makes calculating a projectile's trajectory easier than ever. It works as a highly versatile smart ballistic computer. Beyond using Lapua radar data or the custom modern functions of G1, it can also run G7 calculations without requiring ballistic parameters. It goes further still, offering features for calculating Coriolis drift, longitudinal deviation caused by crosswinds, and more.
Calculating Powder Sensitivity Factor and Muzzle Speed
When it comes to Strelok Pro, you can't overlook its ability to calculate a powder's sensitivity coefficient. Before the app can run these calculations, it needs some essential input from you, namely muzzle speed and temperature pairs. Measure the muzzle speed at different temperatures and enter the results into the provided table. Keep in mind that the temperature readings should differ by at least 5 degrees.
Once you've filled in the required fields, simply wait while the app processes your data. Based on the table, Strelok Pro calculates not only the powder's sensitivity coefficient but also the muzzle speed at the actual temperature. Notably, once at least two speed and temperature pairs have been entered, the app can quickly determine the powder temperature sensitivity coefficient.
Ballistic Coefficient
Strelok Pro lets you streamline your aiming with just a few optimized steps. Start by entering the range parameter in the table. Below it, you'll find a field for cartridge parameters, or more simply, the ballistic coefficient. You can find this information in the app's ammunition or cartridge database, which you can download and search through.
Important Notes Before Using the Calculate Button
Once the range parameter, powder sensitivity factor, and muzzle speed have been confirmed and calculated, you can start the automatic calculation with the Calculate button. Keep a few things in mind, however, such as disabling certain other features during this process, specifically Coriolis effect and crosswind longitudinal deflection calculations. A handy tip for saving time is to set the rifle parameters to 0.
Truing by Ballistic Code and Custom Requirements
In addition to calculating the actual altitude without a ballistic coefficient, the approach you take depends on your needs. If you want to calculate the actual altitude using the ballistic coefficient, perform truing before pressing the Calculate button. This step requires two essential parameters: muzzle speed and firing distance. For those unfamiliar with it, the distance must always be greater than 0. Determining the true altitude is key to ensuring accuracy when hitting your target.
Highly Precise Coriolis Effect Calculation
To help you hit your target with full precision, Strelok Pro can calculate the Coriolis effect. It estimates how much the bullet's path will deviate from its trajectory toward the target relative to an inertial reference frame. Simply enable this feature in the on state, then open the new page that appears and tap the globe icon. For this version, you must also grant the app access to the GPS navigation system.
Connecting a Mobile Weather Station
Strelok Pro also offers many other useful and appealing features. One of them is direct communication with your mobile device's weather station. Having up-to-date weather information helps the app produce more accurate calculations, which improves your aim. Bluetooth must be enabled to use this feature.
Using the Camera to Calculate Angle of Inclination
Beyond straight, level lines of sight like a highway, you'll often encounter more complicated shooting angles. In these situations, the app measures the slope and inclination angles for you. It requires access to your camera, since it uses the camera to take these measurements. The process is straightforward, which is why this app remains a top choice in the field.
Backup and Data Sync
Your data is never lost. Instead, it is stored through third-party services under your personal ownership. Currently, you can create a backup library with either Dropbox or Google Drive. Important data is backed up and synchronized for easy access later.
