Description
SpongeBob SquarePants BfBB sends you back to Bottom Bikini, where you reunite with familiar faces and team up with them to take on robots that have gone rogue. Along the way you will brave dangerous terrain, gather the items you need and face off against tough bosses.
In SpongeBob SquarePants BfBB, a platformer, you join the Bottom Bikini crew in a fight against robots that have slipped out of control. Many areas are waiting to be explored, each holding items that will help you along, while hazards of all kinds, from the environment itself to the bosses, stand in your way.
THE RISE OF ROGUE ROBOTS
The story unfolds in Bottom Bikini, where you will meet familiar characters such as SpongeBob and Patrick. Plankton, hoping to steal the Krabby Patty formula, builds a machine, and once it is switched on and its conditions are met, robot clones appear almost instantly. Things quickly spiral away from his plans, as the robots surround him and turn against their creator.
The rebellion starts with Plankton himself, the first target of their anger, after he carelessly programmed the robots with a "Don't Obey" command. Their attacks soon spread across the town, and the focus of the story shifts to SpongeBob and Patrick. When SpongeBob wakes up to find his room disturbed and strange writing left behind, he sets out to uncover the mystery.
PUZZLE-SOLVING JOURNEY THROUGH THE GAME AREAS
In SpongeBob SquarePants BfBB you control SpongeBob as he begins to discover what is happening in this world. Collect the colorful objects scattered around you by simply moving close to them, and explore every corner of Bottom Bikini. Guide signs pop up along the way to point you in the right direction.
At certain locations you will spot signs marked with question marks that give you the information you need to start exploring. You can also smash certain objects, and doing so earns you Shiny Objects, the currency used across the game. Golden Spatulas are another key item, and finding them unlocks entirely new areas.
As you explore, you will discover a vast world filled with items to gather, which takes time to uncover. Not every location is safe, since spikes and lava can slow your progress. You will also come across switches and triggers that activate level mechanics, letting you keep exploring and finish each area.
FACE DOWN THE POWERFUL BOSSES
Robots have begun to overrun parts of SpongeBob SquarePants BfBB, and you must stand up to them. Learn each boss's movement patterns so you can dodge and launch well-timed attacks until their health bars run out.
The adventure with SpongeBob and friends keeps players coming back because:
- You return to the familiar streets of Bottom Bikini and explore them as the default character, SpongeBob.
- The rogue robots, set in motion by the "Don't Obey" command, are spreading chaos, and you must stop their destructive spree.
