Description
Sonic 3 Air is a fast-paced platformer from SEGA, packed with chaotic action, a classic feel, and tough challenges that send you racing through spikes toward the stars, grabbing scattered gold rings and weaving around obstacles. Few can keep up with the demands – perhaps only the speedy hedgehog Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Even they face unpredictable highs and lows, a never-ending fight for survival, and endless schemes from the villainous Dr. Eggman…
Gameplay, Atmosphere and Style
The arcade title from SEGA doesn't show its full face right away: the opening stages are geared toward training, which, as players quickly learn, can make even seasoned genre fans a little nervous. The reason is the genuinely hardcore tasks, which demand lightning-fast taps and constant adaptation to everything around you. You can't afford to lower your guard – a single slip instantly brings up the Game Over screen.
But after roughly half an hour, once the early frustrations fade into the background, players finally get to enjoy the ride. It's not only about taking on mini-bosses or exploring the unfamiliar world, but also about trying to take in the scenery while zooming along at 100 kilometers per hour. That last challenge is definitely not for everyone…
