The story in SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI L Dx2 starts out on the street, where the protagonist has just installed a strange app. Moments later, something unusual happens, and a character called Einherjar shows up. He says he is searching for someone with the qualities he needs, and once the protagonist opens the app, he can start summoning demons through it.

People with this ability are known as devil downloaders, and the protagonist soon joins the Liberators. Opposing the Liberators is a group organized around its own ideology, which carries out demon summoning rituals to pose specific threats. You will also come across the enemies you must face, each with different strengths and traits. Your summoned devils are the key to defeating them.

Battles follow a turn-based system where you pick a skill to attack the enemy. Each skill has its own characteristics, and learning their strengths will help you use them effectively later on.

Every character has an HP bar and an MP bar, so when a skill costs MP, you need to decide how much to spend until your MP recovers. Before launching an attack, make the most of the attributes of the devils you face. Their attribute panel shows question marks for unknown information, along with their resistances and weaknesses, which helps you attack the enemy efficiently.

Besides costing MP, some skills come with an icon matching a particular attribute. If your opponent is weak to that element, the attack deals extra damage, while resistance works in reverse. Enemies with question mark attributes, such as the bosses you face, will use any skill to attack and do not have any special damage bonuses.

SUMMON CHARACTERS THROUGH AUGMENTED REALITY
