Background
The story unfolds in late 19th-century America. A young mother arrives at a seaside hotel run by one of her relatives, only to learn that she has come to take over its management. Before long, countless mysteries begin to unfold around her, and the bloodstained scenes and the dead man found inside the hotel leave her more anxious than ever. Once again, Scarlet steps up to solve the puzzling events within the hotel, and you are the one who will accompany her on this new journey.
Gameplay
Like other GameHouse titles, Scarlet’s Haunted Hotel retains its point-and-click gameplay. You take on the role of the hotel manager, welcoming guests while constantly searching for clues to the mysteries. The game features 60 levels, with a maximum of 3 stars for each. Think this sounds too easy? Earning all three stars requires quick eyes and quick hands.
In each level, you must meet every customer’s needs within a set time limit. That means selling items, cleaning tables and chairs, and checking guests out. This makes earning 3 stars a real challenge. Fortunately, another character can lend a hand and lighten your workload. Above all, don’t get so caught up in sales that you forget you are investigating a case.
Different locations
This time, Scarlet’s Haunted Hotel takes you to a variety of locations, each one tied to a different area of the sprawling hotel. At every stop, you face new tasks, such as selling items, food, and drinks. To keep customers satisfied, you’ll need to match the items to each guest’s requests. You can also gather more clues at each location, so stay alert and seize the best opportunities to advance your investigation.
Choose your difficulty
The game offers three difficulty levels. If you have already conquered the GameHouse classics, don’t hesitate to take on the harder challenges. The higher the difficulty, the more your reflexes will be tested. We also recommend completing the diamond level, since its rewards are vital to the investigation. Reaching the third milestone there is quite tough, but with persistence, you can get it done.
Decoding the mystery
As you work through the hotel, you will uncover many hidden secrets. The diamonds you collect in each level are used to assemble missing puzzle pieces. Every completed picture reveals a new story hidden behind it. After finishing all 60 levels, you will unlock every mystery the game has to offer.
