Samsung Pass is a service that handles sign-in authorization through biometric data, meaning information captured by scanning your iris, fingerprint, or facial features. Before you start using it, here are a few key points worth knowing:
- Saved passwords can only be accessed via the Samsung Internet browser, the official web browser preinstalled on every Samsung phone.
- Not every phone supports the app, so check with the store where you bought your device or reach out to Samsung Technical Support to confirm whether the service is available on yours.
- Confidential data is protected by the Knox system, which also powers the biometric modules.
- Samsung Pass also lets you create electronic signatures. With the S Pen stylus, signatures come out with a high degree of accuracy. Simply save your signature to the system once, and it can be inserted automatically afterward. Everything is secured by biometric authentication.
- If needed, you can turn the app off completely, though there's little reason to, since the service doesn't noticeably increase battery consumption.
How to install
