Description
Reactor – Energy Sector Tycoon lets you run your own power plant, with cutting-edge equipment to build. Every device comes with its own features, and you can upgrade them to boost their output.
Reactor – Energy Sector Tycoon is an easy-to-pick-up new game in which you head to a site and construct energy production facilities. Your job is to manage the whole operation and keep output flowing non-stop, for instance by maintaining your wind turbines so they keep running. Along the way, you can unlock fresh technologies and put up impressive support buildings.
BUILDING YOUR POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
In Reactor – Energy Sector Tycoon, you take on the role of developing electricity generation systems that you can sell for a healthy profit. To get started, you'll need production equipment, and the first option available is a wind turbine. Buy them and place them wherever you like, as long as you meet the requirements for putting a turbine down.
The game world is laid out in 2D, and you'll see plots with suitable slots where wind turbines can go. Keep in mind that environmental obstacles such as trees can be cleared to free up space, though doing so costs a certain amount of resources. Once you've built up your wealth, this becomes much less of a burden.
UNLOCK MANY NEW TECHNOLOGIES TO GROW YOUR BASE
An important thing to watch in Reactor – Energy Sector Tycoon is keeping your electricity output steady. This depends on the lifespan of your wind turbines: when one runs, its lifespan bar steadily drains until its color fades away completely. As this happens, you'll need to spend money to restore them to full condition, and that cycle repeats throughout the game.
Another key factor is research points. Although they aren't a form of money, they offer plenty of advantages. You collect them by constructing buildings such as a research center, and how many you can build is up to you. Naturally, new research items aren't cheap.
Beyond wind turbines, you'll gradually unlock other ways to generate electricity, such as solar panels. They help you gather power more quickly, and this new option appears in the research section. So if your facility seems to be growing slowly, try investing in upgrades to improve the performance of your power-generating devices.
UPGRADE THE PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT DEVICES
In Reactor – Energy Sector Tycoon, you'll find another section alongside research and building upgrades. It offers a range of effects you can apply to boost the efficiency of your buildings. You can raise electricity output and research points by a set percentage, and for wind turbines you can extend their lifespan so they stay productive for longer.
Your base will keep growing and running on its own if you focus on upgrading certain elements and constructing the right buildings. For example, you can build offices that sell energy automatically, so you won't need to keep pressing the sell button. That benefit grows even stronger as you upgrade it in the upgrades section to increase the sellable power output.
Build your own energy production facility:
- The first machine that helps you generate energy is the wind turbine. With the energy it produces, you can sell it and earn a lot of money.
- You spend this money on various things, such as keeping wind turbines running once they hit their lifespan limit.
- Alongside energy, research points are a vital resource gathered by research centers, and they help you unlock many new technologies.
- New technologies such as solar panels let you collect more energy, while some buildings, like offices, support efficient production.
- An upgrade system opens up with different effects you can invest in to improve and stabilize your production.
