When you finish a song, you earn diamonds and experience points (EXP). Diamonds can unlock the next tracks on the playlist or buy the costumes and characters you want. Alongside the free songs, limited-time tracks and limited characters are available, which you can unlock by recharging and collecting them. You can also join Virtual Live events, an in-game mode that lets you take part in online concerts, where you can interact with virtual characters and other players during the show.
