A NEW FIGHTER AND SKINS HAVE JUST ARRIVED

Pokémon UNITE has two new additions that no fan should overlook. The first is Tsareena, a new Pokémon built for close combat and well suited to an All-rounder role. You begin the match as her unevolved form, Bounsweet, and watch her transform into her striking final look as the battle goes on. Tsareena shines on offense, with eye-catching effects when she takes down an opponent.

The second addition is a new Holowear for Greedent, a skin that gives the character a fresh look. Greedent is a Gen VIII Pokémon with an adorable design, and its Holowear makes it even more impressive to face on the battlefield.

MOBA BATTLES WITH POKÉMON TEAMMATES

If you love Pokémon, Pokémon UNITE is a perfect fit. You and your teammates take on other players in a 5v5 battle in classic MOBA style. Each Pokémon type brings its own distinctive skills, letting you build entirely unique attack strategies. The rules also feel fresh compared to many games in the same genre.

You still push forward to destroy the enemy's towers until they surrender, though you cannot simply attack those towers directly. Instead, you gather balls by attacking wild Pokémon around the map. Then you head to the basket-shaped towers and spend a few seconds launching your shots. Each tower loses HP with every successful hit and is destroyed once it hits zero.

This scoring system makes for a game that is both thrilling and tense, as both teams race to rack up points and bring down the other side's towers. Skirmishes between players are almost unavoidable, so you will need to time your skills and Unite Moves carefully. Some Pokémon also have several evolution stages that completely change their appearance once they reach certain levels, just as in the main series.
