Online Chess - Free Mobile Chess Game Online
Play the classic board game of chess against real opponents from all around the world. Chances are you already know the rules from childhood, but if they have slipped your mind, the goal is to checkmate your opponent's king using your pieces.
Gameplay
You don't need to be a seasoned chess pro to enjoy this game, since it pairs you with opponents based on your skill level and past results. The match takes place on a traditional square board made up of 8 rows and 8 columns.
The rows are labeled with numbers from 1 to 8, and the columns with the English letters a through h. All 64 squares alternate between light and dark colors.
Each player begins with 16 pieces in either white or dark: 8 pawns, two knights, two bishops, two rooks, one queen, and one king. Every piece has its own unique way of moving.
The player controlling the white pieces always makes the first move, after which you and your opponent alternate, moving one piece per turn.
Your objective is to checkmate the opponent's king before the timer runs out. A draw can also occur if neither side moves a pawn or captures a piece within 50 moves.
