Description
NieR: Automata is one of the most recognizable Japanese games, one that pushes players to reflect on the meaning of life while also giving them a glimpse of what lies beneath the main character's skirt. Fans have put together an unofficial port of NieR: Automata that, despite some shortcomings, stays faithful to the original. In the opening mission, for instance, we pilot a mech and fend off enemies in a shoot 'em up style, then take on a massive boss from a third-person view. The game is missing some content, so the transitions between missions feel rough, and the Chinese text in the interface makes it hard to follow what's going on. The first boss is also very easy, and dying is extremely hard. Animations are still limited, and some buttons seem to do nothing. On the plus side, you can enjoy the beautiful visuals of the 2B character and a soundtrack lifted directly from the original release. We can only confirm the presence of 3 levels.
