Neural Network is an AI learning app created by JI DASHENG, a mobile app developer based in China. It is available for free on Google Play and the App Store.
About Neural Network
Theory Lessons on Artificial Intelligence
The Tutorials section of Neural Network contains more than 38 theory lessons, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. These lessons are grouped into chapters, with each chapter containing between 3 and 10 lessons depending on how complex its topic is. Every lesson is structured like a textbook chapter, starting with a short overview and then moving into a deeper exploration of the concepts.
The lessons are written in a concise style, aiming to be approachable and easy to follow rather than overly academic. The developer also includes interactive charts with adjustable parameters, making it easier to see how calculations and formulas behave.
At the moment, Neural Network offers 8 theory chapters, and the developer may add new chapters and content in future updates.
Playground Feature in Neural Network
The Playground feature shows learners how an AI training system operates in practice. It includes 42 different exercises, and your objective is to add and arrange hidden layers so that the loss (error) at the output is as small as possible.
Each exercise screen is split into three columns that display different parts of the system. The left column, “Features,” is where you select the type of input data. The middle column, “Hidden Layers,” lets you add or remove hidden layers. The right column, “Output,” shows the Epoch count (how many times the full dataset has been passed through), the Training loss and Test loss values (how far off the AI's results are), and a graph illustrating that deviation.
Every exercise comes with a specific task. As you meet parts of the requirement, you earn stars, and you complete the exercise once you reach 5 stars. All Playground exercises are tied to the theory covered in the Tutorials section, so you will need to review the lessons and understand the material to finish every exercise.
Charts and Animations
The Charts and Animations section offers a range of animated charts organized by lesson, helping you better picture algorithms and models. Tap on the graph lines to see the value at any given point. Some lessons use animated geometry instead of charts, and in those lessons you can adjust parameter values to watch how the diagram changes in response.
Model and Training in Neural Network
This section lets you build your own AI model using drag-and-drop. The operators and operands you can place range from basic math and Input/Output blocks to complete architectures such as CNN1d or RNN. If a model becomes too complicated, you can use the SubModel feature to build smaller modules and then drag them into the main model.
When your model is finished, you can export it as a Python file and run it on your computer. This is a useful feature that lets you keep studying even when you don't have access to a computer.
Paid Plans in Neural Network
Neural Network is completely ad-free, but unlocking the full lesson library requires a VIP subscription paid to the publisher. The free version includes 3 theory lessons, 10 Playground exercises, 4 visual charts in Charts and Animations, and 1 pre-built model in the Model section. There is no option to purchase individual content; a VIP subscription unlocks everything in the app.
Neural Network offers three paid options: an unlimited lifetime package for $34.99, a 1-year plan for $24.99, and a 6-month plan for $17.99. Newly added content will also be unlocked as long as your VIP access remains active.
