Merge Miners is a casual game where you combine shovels to upgrade them and dig through tough ground. Use a shovel or pickaxe to break through the bedrock, the kind of hard layer you'd expect in Minecraft, and claim a treasure chest. COMBINE TOOLS TO DIG THROUGH TOUGHER GROUND
Since this is a tutorial, let's jump in and get comfortable with the controls. First, buy a shovel to start digging. Then tap the "DROP" button to send the shovel down and crunch through the ground. The number in the upper right of each scoop shows its rank, and scoops of the same rank can be merged by dragging one onto another. Merging raises the rank, and higher ranks let you dig through more complex ground. Every stage has a simple goal: at the top of the screen you'll see a "GOAL" and one treasure box. The chest sits at the bottom of the dig, so opening even one clears the stage.
SATISFYING TO WATCH THE GROUND CRUMBLE!
As you progress, you'll unlock more slots for placing tools. As the explanations and videos above show, the game system is extremely simple. Buy a shovel, merge it, and drop it, and you'll find yourself getting hooked quickly. Each round lasts only a few seconds and restarts instantly, so it's easy to keep playing with thoughts like "just one more time." The shattering ground effect also feels fresh and rewarding. It's a perfect game for passing time, so give it a try if it sounds fun.
"MERGE MINERS" EARLY GAME TIPS
If a shovel can't dig through a layer, switch to a pickaxe. It all comes down to merging and arranging your tools, so if you play steadily you should be able to clear each stage. Since ground hardness changes depending on the row that falls, placing tools where the ground is less hard makes tough stages much easier. If you're still struggling, you can grab a stronger scoop by watching the ads shown in the image on the right, which is worth considering. Because restarts are so quick, dropping and saving up money to gradually upgrade your shovel is a lot of fun.
