The protagonist of MEGA MAN X DiVE is a longtime Mega Man fan who, just like every time he plays these titles, runs into trouble. A problem has corrupted the archived data, and he's pulled into the cyberspace portal known as the Deep Log, a place described as a repository of information about Mega Man. To fix the trouble lurking within this space, the player teams up with the admin, and the starting character is X.

Character X won't feel like a stranger to many players, since he's one of the series' main heroes. Sporting a blue look, he carries the powerful X-Buster, a weapon that fires strong projectiles. You'll face plenty of enemies familiar from the Mega Man series. Controls use two hands, and auto-aim helps you hit foes with pinpoint accuracy.

Complete Different Levels

Because the environments you pass through are thoroughly familiar, players can relive the memories they've built up in MEGA MAN X DiVE. The very first level is the opening stage of Mega Man X3. Insectoid machines and Maoh the Giant will soon appear before you. Learn their weak points so you can counterattack, and remember to guard yourself against their assaults.

Alongside X's ranged weapon, you can equip the Z-Saber, Zero's signature weapon and a close-range laser sword. To use weapons effectively, keep a short distance from enemies so you don't lose health. Switch rapidly between the Buster and Saber to build up your multi-attack strategy.

Unlock New Characters and Weapons

Playing MEGA MAN X DiVE, you'll quickly notice the cast it offers. Frontline heroes such as X, Zero, and Axl appear alongside other Maverick Hunters. Villains like Sigma and Vile also return to haunt you. To add these characters to your roster, you'll need to collect their puzzle pieces.

You can summon some characters using the resources you gather, and each character's info page lists where to find their puzzle pieces. Recruiting them all takes a long journey. You'll also receive weapons during the game to equip on your characters. Don't forget to level them up to boost their strength and handle tougher stages.
