Description

LiveATC for Android offers a fast and simple way to tune into live exchanges between pilots and air traffic controllers at many airports worldwide.

With LiveATC for Android, you can explore airports by U.S. state or by country and tune into live air traffic chatter at or around any airport you choose. The “Nearby” feature helps you locate airports close to your current position. Any channel can be saved to your Favorites list for quicker access later.

The LiveATC Network (http://liveatc.net) is the largest network of streaming audio feeds dedicated entirely to aviation. It currently covers more than 1,200 airports across the globe, offering over 2,000 audio feeds, with new additions every day!

Explanation of some of the required device permissions:

• The “Location” permission lets the app identify nearby airports when you choose “Nearby.”

• The “Device ID & Call Information” permission allows the app to detect incoming or outgoing phone calls, so it can automatically pause the audio stream and avoid interfering with your call.

* IMPORTANT NOTICE * Before purchasing, please check whether your country, city or airports of interest are covered by LiveATC at http://liveatc.net. Coverage is currently unavailable in the U.K., Belgium, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, New Zealand, Spain and several other countries where streaming ATC communications is restricted by local law. Available airports may change at any time. LiveATC owns and operates many of the receivers in the network, while many others are run by volunteers working with LiveATC, and availability can sometimes shift for reasons beyond LiveATC's control. Feeds are also not guaranteed to be online 24/7, although we work hard to keep them running and have a strong uptime record.
