Description

Limbo is a bleak adventure from the studio PlayDead, packed with brutal challenges, black-and-white scenery, and experimental platformer mechanics. The developers drop the story at the edge of hell: a fantastical forest home to strange creatures who drift through dreams and have already become genderless ghosts. Amid these bizarre characters, the protagonist, a nameless boy hunting for his missing sister, struggles to survive while trying to make sense of the oddities of his own existence.

The protagonist sets out to find his vanished sister, which means traveling across the map in pursuit of a girl whose appearance remains unknown. Beyond its unsettling story, the platformer can be perilous in another way: the player often can't make out the light in a makeshift tunnel, nor any clues about which path leads to the next stage. Along the route, the little hero also comes across a person, though not an ordinary one, who has been literally torn apart. How exactly?
