How the Story Unfolds
In the summer of 2077, a meteorite blazes across the night sky and slams into the center of G City. It releases a strange gas that spreads at an alarming pace. Creatures exposed to the gas turn savage and aggressive, and the monster population surges out of control. Left with no alternative, the survivors head west, where they build "cities" to hold off monster assaults, recover, and search for new ways to stay alive.
The Emergence of the Haunters
Over time, a number of survivors learn to draw on the mysterious gas, earning the name "Haunters". Supplies are running low, so Haunters have to gear up, band together in teams, and leave the safety of the cities to gather resources and carve out new homes.
