Description
"How to Get the Neighbor" is a cult puzzle game from the studio HandyGames, featuring a cartoon art style, unusual gameplay, and absurd challenges staged like a TV show. Several characters appear on screen. The first is the main character, who takes on the role of permanent host. The second is a neighbor you must keep pranking as you progress to boost the ratings of your own show, turning you into a true "prankster." Can't wait to try it and become a star? No problem, but first it's best to learn the local rules and goals…
Gameplay, Content, and Tools
Neighbours From Hell: Season 1 is a true classic that, back in the day, shook up the rules of the games industry. Thanks to its experiments and cache, everything works in a simple and unusual way, and it keeps pushing you to keep experimenting, pranking the old neighbor (causing mischief here is always fun, and you'll want to download Season 2 too!) and hoping to become a star. Discoveries take a very long time, but earning a spot in the fame section of this page in the menu isn't that hard!
As an extra bonus, the developers let you choose the principle by which Woody acts (whether he plays strictly by the rules or causes mischief at every step), which levels to unlock right away, and which events to rewind. Controls follow a similar format, so everything feels very predictable, and the graphics look great. Instructions for interesting locations and a search function, which you'll sometimes need, are available in the menu.
