Description
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is an anime-style RPG for Android. Players take part in turn-based battles presented in a 2.5D art style, where the core task is to fight monsters by manually activating the skills of a squad of heroes. Acceleration and auto-battle unlock as the story moves forward. New characters can be pulled through the gacha system, and they can be upgraded with materials gathered along the way. Everything is controlled with a single button. Although the game is in Japanese, a guide character walks players through the basic mechanics step by step.
Credit goes to the developers for the anime-style cutscenes, including the animation that plays when new heroes are summoned. Dialogue between the heroes before a battle is fully voiced, and the character models move well beyond simple nods and hand waves. The monsters are also designed so intensely that even experienced gamers may find them hard to look at.
