Jaipur, a title recommended for the Spiel des Jahres, is one of our most beloved two-player tabletop games. This fast, fun card game blends luck and strategy for two players. Your aim is to become the top trader in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. To earn the favor of the Maharajah, you and your opponent must go head to head. At the end of each round, the Maharajah's seal of excellence goes to the winner, and the player who collects two seals earns an invitation to the Maharajah's Court.
On each turn you may take one or more cards. The quicker you sell and the more of a single product you buy at once, the greater your profit will be.
When taking cards, you have two choices: take all the camels and draw 1 card from the marketplace, or swap between 2 and 5 cards. Each turn you can sell only one type of card, earning the same number of chips for each good. As the game progresses, the value of the chips drops. However, selling multiple sets of 3, 4, or 5 identical cards at once brings bigger rewards. Success comes from patience and knowing the right moment to trade.
Camels cannot be traded, yet they are vital to your trading strategy and can sometimes be enough to win the round.
This digital edition of the popular card game includes a detailed interactive tutorial and a campaign mode. Solo play offers three difficulty levels. You can play two-player online across platforms, or locally with pass-and-play. Your achievements are tracked within the app, and signing up requires an Asmodee Digital account. Vincent Dutrait created the beautiful illustrations.
