Description

I, Viking is an ambitious title blending third-person action, strategy and multiplayer, letting you team up for raids on rival lands and neighboring territories. You step into the role of a Viking, with a village of your own and the chance to set out in search of something precious. Build up your settlement, assemble your squads, join forces with other players and take on plenty more that keeps the adventure fresh. A compelling storyline also walks you through various parts of Scandinavian mythology.

I, Viking is a fast-paced action game where dozens of gifted warriors await you, along with thrilling real-time battles.

Your journey begins with a tutorial in which a fearless Valkyrie guides you, helps you choose your warriors and shows you how to attack and defend. Battles against other players await, where victory is decided in intense clashes and each player directly controls every warrior, switching between them instantly and seizing the initiative.

In combat, you follow your hero from a third-person view, steering with a multi-directional joystick and using buttons to block, strike, shove your opponent and unleash a special ability. Each fight lets you field up to three heroes, every one wielding a sharp sword, axe or hammer and possessing a distinct set of skills. Chain your strikes skillfully, train your fighters and raise their levels so you can overcome tougher foes.

Between fights, return to the main menu, where the resources you gather and conquer can be used to forge new weapons, armor and mystical runes. Beyond the real-time battles, you can dive into the storyline, where the secrets of the ancient gods, the Vikings and their era slowly come to light.
