Gameplay
Haikyuu: FLY HIGH captures every detail from the anime and brings it to life for players. You'll build and manage your own volleyball team, filled with characters from the Haikyu series. Starting with the Karasuno High School squad, you'll compete against teams from neighboring areas, aiming to score as many points as possible and claim victory.
Beyond the fiery volleyball matches, the game offers plenty more to explore: training your team members, building your squad, and recruiting new players through the Gacha system. All of these features are tied to the storyline of the anime, so it feels like you're living inside the series itself.
Thrilling volleyball matches
Haikyuu: FLY HIGH faithfully recreates the intense volleyball showdowns from the Haikyu anime. Once you've chosen your team and entered a match, your goal is simple: score 3 points before your opponent does.
If you win the serve, you can choose the direction of the ball. Depending on the character's level, the ball will either be blocked or you'll score immediately. When your opponent counterattacks, you'll pick one character to block the ball and then send a counterattack with another.
The 3D visuals make the matches feel just like the real thing, as your characters move constantly, shifting positions to serve, block, and counterattack. Once a character builds up enough "energy" bars, they can unleash powerful spikes with a high scoring rate. In short, you need to experience it firsthand to truly feel the excitement of these matches.
Character system
Every character in Haikyuu: FLY HIGH comes from the anime of the same name. Alongside the main character, Hinata Shōyō, you'll meet many other figures from the series who formed powerful partnerships on the volleyball court. The game makes effective use of these bonds: owning characters who are connected in the anime boosts their stats.
Characters are clearly divided into ranks based on their strength and rarity. Higher-rarity characters start with stronger base stats and greater growth potential than lower-rarity ones. You may also come across characters who share the same name but differ in rarity, which makes sense since they appear at different stages of development in the anime.
To add new characters to your roster, you'll need resources and recruitment cards to "summon" them from the game's archives. Recruited characters appear randomly depending on the Banner you select, which is the game's Gacha feature. Gather enough resources and try your luck.
