Description
Granny Remake is a revamped edition of the cult horror game from FerriteLabs that once again puts you in a fight for survival against a deranged old woman. Just like the original, the action takes place in a dilapidated mansion full of crooked walls, collapsed ceilings and sealed-off rooms. In this eerie setting, the protagonist eventually comes to after taking a shortcut through the forest and stumbling into the dangerous traps tied to local legend. How will the story unfold? And is there really a way to escape the merciless, terrifying and unhinged grandmother?
Atmosphere, Gameplay and Difficulty
The core ideas of Granny Remake remain the same, but they now carry a rather unusual charm. They push you to pay closer attention to your surroundings, look into the shadows and read every note you find, hoping to move a step closer to the truth. Interestingly, the balance has shifted a little as well: staying alive in this constantly changing world is now several times harder.
The local granny has also grown more aggressive. As in the PC version, the hero must find a way to freedom within a limited amount of time, but now they have to move even faster (a true Game of the Year contender in the Adventure genre), and a single mistake will bring up the Game Over screen right away…
