Golden Spatula is an auto-battle strategy game from Riot Games. It belongs to the Teamfight Tactics franchise, and this version is exclusively available on mobile platforms. Both games share the same core gameplay, but Golden Spatula was built specifically for the Chinese and Asian markets, offering more events and rewards for players.

In this game, you'll face off against 7 other players in a fierce struggle to be the last one standing. Your intelligence matters most as you recruit different champions to build the strongest squad. Thanks to auto-battle mechanics, your job is simply to position your champions sensibly on the board, with no need to manually control their skills during combat.
There's also another factor that shapes every match: technology cores. At the start of a match, the game grants you a random effect for that session. Then, once you reach certain rounds, you and the other players can pick one of three technology cores, which can dramatically affect your squad.
Each player's technology core is completely random. That's likely why players have jokingly nicknamed the game the "Game of Luck." Still, luck is only part of the equation. To win, your tactical thinking matters just as much.
Recruit powerful champions for your squad in Golden Spatula
Each round, the shop offers different champions for you to buy. Every champion has its own class and price tag, and generally, the more expensive a champion is, the more power it packs. Champions are split into five price tiers, ranging from 1 to 5 gold. As your level rises, you'll see higher-tier champions appear more often in the shop.
You can also boost their strength by upgrading their stars. Collect three identical 1-star champions and they'll merge into a 2-star version. Likewise, gathering three identical 2-star champions upgrades them to 3 stars.
This core mechanic stays consistent, but each season introduces new champions and themes. The game has now reached its 13th season, themed "Entering the Arcane." You'll encounter familiar faces from Riot's new animated series in this season.
Showcase your tactical vision with a wide range of formations
What keeps players hooked is the variety of classes and formations available each season. Every champion comes with unique combat abilities and price points, and also belongs to a class. Pairing champions from the same class unlocks powerful bonus effects.
In this 13th season, you'll find up to 14 classes and 12 different traits. Feel free to experiment with a variety of formations. Depending on your opponents' lineups and the technology core you pick, you can adjust your build to gain the biggest edge in battle. There's no single right formation. Mix and match whatever you like, as long as you come out on top and become the last survivor.
Items and equipment in Golden Spatula
Items and equipment also play a major role in your matches and shouldn't be overlooked. You can collect equipment components from the carousel round or from monster rounds. Combining these components creates complete gear for your champions, and each piece comes with its own effects. Equip your champions with this gear to make them significantly stronger.
You may also receive special items such as light equipment, legendary equipment, support equipment, clone machines, or the golden spatula. Except for the golden spatula, which can appear in the shop round, these items show up randomly, depending on your early-game effect or the technology core you choose.
