Here's what you can do with GeoCam:
GeoPictures: a fresh way to organize your holiday photo album. Use the export feature to view all your shots on Google Maps or Google Earth from your computer. Drop markers with notes on the spots you loved, and share these collections with anyone running Google Earth. The EXIF GPS data GeoCam stores lets you browse the photos in any EXIF-compatible app. Videos: the first app that lets you record video with a built-in layer of geographic data. It complements your photos nicely, as you can review pitch, roll, and compass orientation over time on charts.
Bearings: GeoCam works as a precise measuring tool. It displays your compass heading (switch between magnetic and true North), along with your inclination and elevation via easy-to-read cursors, much like a cockpit HUD. It's useful for terrain mapping, gliding, sailing, mountain biking, and more. Measurements: estimate the distance to any object using the triangulation feature. Once the distance is known, you can also calculate its height. Instead of cluttering the screen with hard-to-read cursors, the app relies on mathematical formulas. Pick either the metric or imperial system.
GeoCaching: prepare a list of key locations in an area and see them through your camera in augmented reality, complete with names and distances.
