Forts Mobile is a mobile real-time strategy game in which you take command of an island stronghold. Your goal is to construct fortifications, upgrade your troops, and destroy the enemy's fort within two minutes.

Battles take place on small islands where every grain of sand can be turned into a resource. You serve as both chief engineer and tactician. Your base is built from a network of structures, ranging from resource mines to defensive towers.
Every building influences unit production or unlocks new technologies. The setting blends futurism with steampunk: laser cannons stand beside wooden barricades, and soldiers in high-tech armor assault enemy walls.
The opening seconds determine whether you can raise a wall before the attack hits or are left exposed. Controls are streamlined for touchscreens: tap a building to select it, then swipe to place it. Heroes play a central role. A Sniper with a laser sight can eliminate enemies behind the front line, while an Assault trooper smashes through defenses with a sudden dash.
Every action costs one of two currencies: crystals, which are rare and earned in battle, or coins, the basic currency gathered through victories. Upgrading heroes is essential, since their abilities are ineffective against enhanced opponents without leveling up. The destruction physics familiar from the PC version has been simplified: walls collapse block by block rather than following real dynamics, yet it still looks spectacular, especially when a bomb goes off in the heart of the enemy base.
Features
- Short matches: each round lasts 2 minutes. Far from being a drawback, this makes the game ideal for quick breaks while still demanding lightning-fast decisions.
- Hero system: 12 unique characters, each with their own upgrade paths. The Engineer, for example, speeds up construction, while the Artilleryman extends attack range.
- Expandable islands: unlock new zones for resource mining or defensive structures. Each expansion grants access to powerful weapons, such as plasma guns.
- No support: the developers have stopped maintaining the game. There are no new events, balance patches, or bug fixes.
