Fading City is a cooperative action game from the studio Netease Games Global, blending dozens of ideas and hundreds of concepts into one experience. It offers an open world, role-playing progression, a dynamic combat system, and servers featuring both PvP and PvE content. The developers set out to deliver an uncompromising entertainment platform, and the gameplay on offer is only part of the picture. They have also built a stylish universe, drawing partial inspiration from PUBG Mobile and partly from The Last of Us.
Atmosphere, Gameplay, and Events
The setting of Fading City follows the familiar pattern of survival simulators, with a post-apocalyptic mood throughout. Even so, the developers have worked to turn the extra game locations into unusually engaging zones. First, a sizable number of dungeons hide rare artifacts and supplies, and inside these bases you can come across everything from canned food to maps that reveal hidden areas.
Second, plenty of competitive arenas shrouded in fog are home to bosses, mobile weapon caches, and workbenches where rare equipment can be crafted. As a bonus, you may meet other survivors and pick up valuable information along the way.
