Description
EMPTY SHELL is a nerve-wracking top-down roguelite survival horror game set in a mysterious abandoned facility on a remote Japanese island. You are sent on a risky recovery mission, but soon find that the facility conceals grim secrets and the remnants of a monstrous experiment. Wander through chilly corridors and long-forgotten rooms, hunt for weapons, ammo, gadgets, documents, and logs, and fight off terrifying creatures lurking in the dark. No two runs are alike: levels are procedurally generated, starting gear is randomized, and fresh volunteers step in to take your place after each death. Manage your inventory carefully, buy upgrades, solve environmental puzzles, and decide which resources are worth carrying out with you. As you dig up records from the facility's past, the unsettling story behind the disaster gradually comes to light. With atmospheric pixel-art graphics, brutal combat, constant tension, and highly replayable roguelite mechanics, EMPTY SHELL offers a dark survival horror experience where every attempt might reveal something new.
