Don’t Starve: Newhome is a cooperative sandbox from Tencent Mobile. The developers describe it as an “evolution of the franchise,” since players will meet new characters and unusual creatures. You can jump into a co-op room quickly or enjoy solo adventures whenever you like. The core gameplay stays much the same: the interface and main mechanics will feel familiar to anyone who has played the original Don’t Starve. Early on, your priority is gathering carrots, grass and other basic resources.
To make things easier to follow, the developers have organized tasks into categories: tutorial, basic and, most likely, bonus objectives. Essential items are also highlighted for quick reference. At the very beginning, Wilson lends a hand, for instance during the showdown with the spiders. Daily login rewards are available, and your characters can be leveled up. Permanent buildings have also been added to the game. A PTA is currently running in Newhome, and you can find the sign-up details on the official website.
Don’t Starve: Newhome keeps the research, survival and crafting elements at its heart, but adds multiplayer and social features on top. You can build your own permanent home and develop your hero over time.
