Storyline and Gameplay

DMC 3 stands as a legendary entry in the acclaimed Japanese third-person shooter and slasher franchise.

At the core of "Devil May Cry" are the estranged twin brothers Dante and Vergil, offspring born of a demon father and an angel mother (Nephilim). Torn apart from their parents and separated from one another during childhood, each was forced down a drastically different path.

This iconic hack-and-slash chapter puts you in control of Dante—a youthful, wildly charismatic hero blessed with incredible superhuman strength, razor-sharp style, and deadly marksmanship. While Dante lives comfortably with his dual demonic and angelic nature, his brother Vergil struggles relentlessly against his own internal turmoil.

Armed with his signature broadsword and twin handguns, you will cut down waves of hostile fiends along your journey while customizing your combat approach through distinct playstyles:

• Trickster – Focuses on evasive maneuvers, agile defense, and rapid acrobatic dodges to evade incoming strikes.
• Swordmaster – Elevates melee mastery, allowing Dante to unleash devastating, highly technical blade combos.
• Gunslinger – Expands your firearm potential beyond dual pistols to encompass heavy shotguns and rapid-fire weapons.
• Royalguard – Builds an impenetrable defensive stance capable of absorbing heavy blows and delivering punishing counterattacks.
• Doppelganger – Enables Dante to conjure a shadowy demon clone that battles concurrently by his side.
• Quicksilver – Grants the power to decelerate the flow of time and move circles around sluggish foes.

Your primary nemesis throughout the campaign is Jester, an enigmatic jester-like foe holed up in a towering monolith who holds vital secrets regarding Vergil. Smashing through relentless legions of demonic forces is the only way to reach his lair.
