Your role as a miner in Deep Town is simple to grasp, and your only tool at the start is a spaceship. It touches down on the surface and begins digging into the ground to gather the resources you need. The soil you explore goes deep, hiding many mysteries you'll have time to uncover, and you'll need the right equipment to break through each layer. Every floor you clear grants a set amount of rewards.

The interface is easy to follow: you'll see an area split into several rock layers, with the device used to break them at the bottom of the screen. Each layer has a bar similar to an HP bar, and once it's emptied by your attacks, that rock layer shatters. You'll then move on to the next soil layers, which get harder as you go.

USE WEAPONS TO REACH DEEPER LEVELS

Deep Town offers a wide range of weapons. You start with two options: a laser fired from your spaceship and a set of drill-style AI helpers. Tap the weapon you want, and it deploys right away. Once used, it needs to cool down before you can fire it again, and more powerful weapons come with longer cooldowns.

To the right of the weapon panel is an arrow icon for upgrading the weapons you're using. Each upgrade costs a certain amount of money, and higher levels require additional resources. Choosing the right weapon for each floor matters, since some levels contain not only rock layers but also mysterious tentacle-like plants that make drills vanish much faster than usual. For those floors, the laser is the better choice.

BUILD STATIONS TO SUPPORT MINING

Mining is only part of the job in Deep Town. You'll also need to build a variety of stations to produce or craft new resources. The first production facility you'll unlock is the mining station, which generates a set amount of resources over time. It also supports upgrades, letting you boost its speed and capacity for specific resources.

Upon reaching a certain level, you'll need a new resource to upgrade new devices and stations. Mining alone can't provide it, so it must be refined. That's why you'll build a smelter, which turns the raw materials you gather into ingots of the same type. Think carefully about whether to sell a resource for cash or refine it into higher-value items when you mine it.
