You'll hunt for clues that reveal which motifs to paint, and if you get the drawing right, something intriguing awaits you.

FINISH AN EERIE PAINTING

The story of Death Palette centers on an artist stuck for inspiration, staring at the canvas in front of him. Someone suggests he step outside to lift his mood, and that walk leads him to a fateful painting. This one is entirely black, and you can't make out the texture the person across from you describes. Your task is to complete the artwork without leaving her unhappy.

When the conversation ends, the protagonist picks up his phone, and strange things start happening as the screen glows red. The figure in the painting appears too and reveals that he is the next painter. He then falls asleep, and the demanding journey begins on the first day. Luckily, when he looks around, he finds his phone still displaying text messages that offer useful hints for the painting.

INTERACT WITH THE SURROUNDINGS TO UNCOVER CLUES

Before you start painting in Death Palette, explore the environment around the game screen. Buttons on the screen let you shift the character's viewpoint so you can look around and touch whatever seems important. Read the information closely, too, since it tells you which textures can go onto the picture and what color each one should be.

Players should keep three things in mind while playing. First, although the girl in the picture asks for her true self, you won't be required to provide it. Instead, you'll only paint the motifs she favors and pick their features. Also, you can draw just one element at a time, so you decide which motifs appear and in what order.

PAINT MOTIFS AND ADD COLOR TO THE PICTURE

Once you've finished gathering information in Death Palette, you'll return to the main interface and tap the paint button to start painting. Based on the clues, you'll find an option to add a motif such as an apple. You'll also see a circle of colored pins constantly moving, and you must select the right color for the apple while watching the female character's expression. If she's happy, your life can continue.

An interesting detail you'll notice when painting a suitable motif and pleasing her is that the object you just drew vanishes. Its color, however, remains on the canvas and turns some parts of her outfit and body the same color instead of the previous black.
