TEAMING UP WITH SUPERHEROES FROM THE DC UNIVERSE

In DC Legends, you'll team up with heroes from the DC Comics universe and get the chance to meet your favorite characters. You'll play a key role in helping the heroes survive The Blackest Night, a threat that could seriously damage the integrity of the entire DC universe. Joining forces with different heroes, you'll take on powerful enemies using strong abilities.

You won't go into battle alone. You'll team up with four other superheroes to form a squad. The core battles are 4v4 matches, where you'll pick the right attacks and tactics to defeat your opponents. Each skill is activated in turn by tapping the icons in the bottom right corner of the screen. The task is simple in concept, but choosing the right skill at the right moment is essential when facing certain targets.

MAKE THE MOST OF EACH HERO'S SKILLS AND TRAITS

When you start the campaign mode in DC Legends, you'll find many different levels packed with enemies of various attributes. The key thing to understand is that all superheroes in the game belong to one of three main attributes. Each attribute is stronger against one type and weaker against another, a common counter mechanic found in many games.

When it's one of your team's turns to act, check the counter triangle on the right side of the screen first. It shows which attribute your active character belongs to and highlights its advantage over another. If an enemy has an attribute that's weak against yours, you'll deal more damage. For this reason, players often build squads that include all three attributes so they can handle a wide range of enemies.

SUMMON YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS

DC Legends features many heroes from across the DC universe. One way to summon them is to collect a set number of shards for the character you want. You'll spend resources to obtain shards, with different options carrying varying levels of risk. The game then offers different types of packs depending on how many resources you have.

Summoning a character is only the beginning, as there's plenty more to manage. You'll need additional shards to raise your characters to a higher rank, which greatly boosts their combat stats. Their powers also improve with each upgrade, and every upgrade gives you an effect to weigh when deciding which power to prioritize.
