Description

DarkBind is a slasher game for Android that starts with a fairly deep character creator and a surprisingly extensive local editor. Soon you find yourself dropped into a fog-covered area filled with graves and eerie, quiet dialogue. NetEase clearly put a lot of effort into the visuals, especially the lighting, while the fog seems to be used mainly to hide rough edges, much like in Silent Hill. It's a relief that DarkBind doesn't rely on auto-fighting, at least at the beginning. Targeting enemies is kept to a minimum, so you can take on several foes at once and rely on dashes, dodges and similar moves. As for gameplay, you'll mostly be completing quests and clearing out corridor-style areas. The promised open world, however, didn't make it into the game. Access to each location is limited to one hour at most, and if you fall in battle you'll have to pay to be resurrected, otherwise you'll be sent back to the city of Khabarovsk.
