Description
Contra: Tournament is a battle royale that takes plenty of cues from Fortnite and similar titles. Around 100 players are dropped onto different areas of the map, where they scavenge for rare weapons and gear while trying to be the last one standing. Overall, the game holds up well: the visuals look good by mobile battle royale standards, you can swap a weapon's body kit on the fly, and items are sorted into rarity tiers, among other features. Still, there's one obvious concern, and it's Capcom. Contra: Tournament uses character models and even the Contra name itself, both of which belong to Capcom. Judging by the screenshots and description, the developers seem to have made a tribute to the classic franchise, but they have no official connection to Capcom. On the plus side, players can team up in squads of four, which keeps things from getting dull, and the soundtrack consists of gunfire and footsteps.
