Color Picker lets you identify colors using your camera or an image, and it packs plenty of extra tools.

Find the name of any color

The app's database holds over a thousand entries drawn from several well-known color palettes, including Common colors, RAL Classic, HTML (W3C), Material Design, and more. Not sure which palette to pick? Start with the standard Common colors palette, which covers the most recognizable shades.

Scope of Movement

Swipe your finger across the screen to resize the sampling area. You can quickly pick up the color at the center point or the average color across the whole selected region. Three scope shapes are available: circle, square, and dot. With the circle shape, the average color is calculated only from the pixels inside the circle.

View scientific color data

Tap the laboratory flask icon to switch to expert mode. It shows the color temperature (in Kelvin), the color's position on the optical spectrum, color values across several models (RGB, CMYK, HSV, and others), and the match percentage with the closest color in your chosen palette. You can turn off any expert mode features you don't need in the settings.

Advanced camera settings

Adjust the focus mode, white balance, and other camera options manually to get more accurate color readings.

Pick colors from photos

Open an image, tap any area to pick the color you want, and save it. The system "Share" dialog lets you send the picture to someone else. The app supports all the gestures commonly used when working with images.

Work with saved colors

You can edit saved colors, share the HEX value of any selected color through the system "Share" dialog, and import or export all colors as CSV files.

Search or browse the color database. Searching by HEX value or color name will quickly bring up the shade you need. You can also send any text to the app through the system "Share" dialog to search the database.
