Caravan Stories blends rogue-like gameplay with 3D magical action combat, exploring the conflicts at an arcane academy. As a spin-off of the smartphone MMORPG "Caravan Stories", this prequel is set eight years earlier at Emrys Magic Academy, home to young elven students. The game features intuitive shooting mechanics—move your character and summon companions with automated fire—while incorporating deep roguelike systems like collecting keys and unlocking doors. Experience a charming fantasy narrative with delightful artwork, creating a fresh character build with each playthrough.
INTUITIVE MAGICAL ACTION COMBAT!
During stages, swipe to maneuver your character, then hold to unleash automatic fire on approaching foes. When entering enemy territory, the exit seals; leverage cover to dodge attacks and progress through skill-boosted shots and companion swapping. Defeating enemies grants experience; upon leveling up, select one of three skill options for your character. NPCs scattered throughout trigger story sequences and reward additional abilities when approached.
CHARAST MAGIC ACADEMY FEATURES RICH RPG STORYTELLING
Set in "Charast's" past eight years prior, witness familiar characters in their youth and unlock bonus content including complimentary premium currency for the original game. The gameplay loop centers on rogue-like shooting mechanics. Compared to related titles, dungeon layouts are significantly more intricate with enhanced roguelike depth—story moments unfold more frequently and key-hunting becomes pivotal for progression.
As you advance, charming narrative sequences with beautiful artwork unlock progressively. The opening cinematic, accessible via the top-right menu icon, delivers impressive production quality that pulls you deeper into this whimsical, imaginative universe. That said, early dungeons present steep difficulty; the combat system incorporates hit rates, causing occasional accuracy misses. Gacha rates are punishing, and progression heavily depends on early weapon pulls. Game balance concerns arise due to ad-watching mechanics and premium purchases affecting 3-star weapon acquisition.
