Description
Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King is an anime-style role-playing game for Android. It opens with a cinematic in which one of the heroes takes down a massive boss. The story then jumps forward to a future where everyone relies on magic for everyday tasks, such as growing crops and summoning rain. The only character without any magical power must prove to everyone, both children and adults, that he is capable of achieving something.
It's a shame the game has no open world, though it may be for the best: the gameplay is packed with polished in-engine cutscenes, the locations are carefully designed, and orchestral music plays softly in the background. The game also lacks an English localization, so players will need to follow the story through the characters' facial expressions, emotions and body language. Overall the setup is simple: a boy without magic must fight villains in turn-based battles.
