The story of ARMA 3 begins in the 2030s, when Europe's economic troubles spark new military and political alliances. Players take part in a clash between the USA, the PRC, NATO, and the CSAT organization. The core action unfolds on the fictional island of Altis, which spans more than 270 km². The territory is dense with infrastructure, including settlements, checkpoints, and military installations. Additional maps stand out with photorealistic landscape detail.
