Alternate Watch – an experimental horror game from Gamma Studio Apps, offering an eerie atmosphere, calm and meditative gameplay, and an unconventional visual style. The surroundings look convincingly realistic at first, yet some elements on screen never quite belong to what's happening around you. The reason? A paranormal force that is literally breaking through the fabric of the world. Unsettling, right? Roughly half an hour into the game, your surroundings will shift dramatically and begin confronting you with completely unexpected scenarios…
Atmosphere, Gameplay and Difficulty
A defining feature of Alternate Watch is its meditative gameplay, which draws you into a seemingly calm and "safe" setting. Your job is simply to inspect your surroundings with a flashlight and log what you discover in a special diary. Yet it's far more complicated than it appears: before long, faces will begin vanishing from photographs, fingers will push out of boxes, and where a floor lamp should hang on the wall, a human head will be dangling instead...
Such events are hard to adjust to, so you'll often find yourself jumping as you move forward. But that's simply the reality of this place. Unpredictable and creepy, yet with a hopeful ending, right? Don't celebrate just yet – every mistake will instantly send the main character to an inevitable death...
How to install
